and that means time for a trim! I hated having to cut Chloe's hair this past weekend, but it was so necessary. Not only will it keep my little girl a little cooler through this horrid heat, but it makes her hair much more manageable, too. I'm no pro, but I've always preferred to trim Chloe's hair myself. Maybe it's the fact that I know she dislikes other dogs, and the thought of her being dropped off alone with strangers and "meanie" dogs makes me sad. Maya on the other hand is so much more easy going and I haven't a problem dropping her off at the groomers. She's probably made many friends along the way, I imagine.
Here's my Chloe bear- probably pounds lighter. I took off at least 3 inches!!! I miss the long hair, but I think she looks cute with shorter hair, too. I'm sure she's relieved. ;)

She looks very cute...and very white & clean :-) Love the doo!
lookin good chloe bear! for an old lady, you still got it goin on:)
btw, any test results? how are you feeling this week?
I was wondering how you are feeling and if you have heard anything too.
You do a great job. We use to have a little Maltese...She was a real sweetheart.
I think she is a keeper. Do you have much problem with her eye staining her fur? She looks ready for a night out on the town.
I'm feeling much better, thanks. And as far as the test results go, I have yet to have those tests done. Tomorrow morning I go in for my bloodwork, etc., so who knows how long it'll be before I hear anything back. ???
And Tonya, I don't actually have much of a problem with tear stains. Sure, there is a little hint of staining, but overall there isn't much to complain about. She does tear up and it can get dirty, but I'm constantly cleaning it and brushing that out.
She looks really cute. I'm glad to see this post. I was just telling Joe that I wanted to get Leilani's hair cut shorter for the summer good to see it still looks cute. I wish I were better at making the pony tails I mean doggie tails. Leilei is still pretty high strung. I know what you mean about leaving them at the groomers.
I put some of this stuff called Angel Eyes in her food 4x a week or less and it helps with the red or pink eye thing which I guess is like a virus. That's great that you are able to keep the staining out. She is so cute. How much does she weigh now I'm afraid I don't want Leilei to get too big she's at 11lbs now.
Hey Cyndi- I heard that angel eyes was supposed to be great! It's supposed to be the best for tear stains. And Chloe was about 7.5 lbs. on her last vet visit at the beginning of the year. Can you believe she's going to be 11 years old this year? My baby is getting old. :(
an oldie but a goodie:)
I like her hair shorter. It makes her look younger!!
Wow that makes sense. I wish that Leilei was a little smaller as far as weight but she's not supposed to get too much bigger like to 12lbs. I remember when we first saw her at your parents after Joey and Holly started their lives together she was then and still is such a cutie we all fell in love not only with her but the family and her name has always been perfect your really good at naming your pets for sure. Yes, I stand by Angel Eyes, as one of my fears was the stains etc. One of these days I'll figure all these picture things so I can send a picture of her maybe in an email or something. You have obviously taken very good care of her and she looks very happy and grateful.
Thank you. :)
Cloe looks so cute. I love the haircut. You could start a grooming business...in your spare time...when you aren't at work or decorating cakes.
My Heidi needs grooming. Do you do 108 pound German Shepherds?
Well Tara we got the haircut today and let's just say I'm not a happy camper. I just wanted them to take off some hair to cool her down well they did alright. Her face cut is very similar to Chloe's but the body well looks like they gave her a boy cut this lady wasn't very happy. Good thing she has such a cute face and she seems ok with it. It'll be a while before her hair grows out GRRRR. Thanks for listening.
