Results of my Sonogram

The results came back negative for gall stones. :( :) I don't know what to think of this, really. I have another appointment for a more in depth procedure this Wednesday morning. It's called a HIDA scan, and I've been trying to look-up online what all this procedure entails. It doesn't look too complicated. I was told I'd have to drink this stuff and they'd basically just watch it travel through my body, looking for any abnormalities. Not only will this look more closely at my gall bladder, but also the bile ducts and liver function. So, I have to wait, yet again, for results from this test. Yay!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Hey, Dad, I hope you have a great birthday! I sent your card a day late (oops!), so you probably won't get it until tomorrow. :( Poo Have a great day; I love you!!!

My doctor's visit

After almost two years of sporadic stomach pains, discomfort, and nausea, I finally decided to see a doctor about it. I explained the symptoms I was having, and he believes that I'm having gall bladder attacks. Tomorrow I will be having another appointment (sonogram/ultrasound) to see if, in fact, I have gall stones. As much as I would like to avoid surgery to remove my gall bladder, I am kinda hoping that the doctor is right. I just want this done and over with; this hasn't been a pleasant experience. So expect and update soon, maybe in the next couple of days. I'll be sure to post about what the doctors find.

**The sonogram went well today, other than the fact that the sonographer was stabbing me in my ribcage for part of it. Of course the sonographer wasn't allowed to tell me anything. Darny! Considering it's Friday, I probably won't even hear from my doctor until Tuesday (maybe later, but hopefully not). I'll let ya know

Um

Tara --
[adjective]:

Sexually stunning
'How" will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com
So, I got this quiz off of my sister, Holly's, blog. My definition is quite different than hers was. A little naughty even. Hmm...I do have to admit though, it made me laugh. Thanks Holly, I can always count on you for that. LOL Go ahead and try it; see how your name is defined). Remember to only post your first definition (it changes everytime).

Meanie Maya

So, no, Maya isn't a meanie. She's just playing with me here. She's actually the sweetest little girl I've ever seen, even sweeter than Chloe. No offense, Chloe. "None taken," Chloe just said to me. lol I hadn't posted anything in a while, and since I have nothing really interesting to post about, here's Maya at her meanest! :) Notice the leg in the background and the ball of white fluff. Everyone was just being lazy, everyone except for Maya and myself, that is.

**Okay, so I have to admit, I didn't view the video before I posted it. Ugh, and I certainly didn't realize the sound effects were so lovely. Excuse my voice; I'll try next time not to post any videos where you can hear me talk, much less squeal. Ew

Nala & Kiara

My little girls will officially be up for adoption tomorrow morning. Nala is not feeling well, so she'll not be going to the adoption center until she's feeling better. Hopefully when I get home tonight, I'll see a change for the better. I knew my little girls would be wanted and find a home very soon, but I wasn't expecting someone to already want to adopt one so quickly, they're not even adoptable yet. However, someone has already claimed Kiara and will be adopting her tomorrow morning as she arrives to the Petsmart adoption event. I'm so happy that she found a home so soon, considering she the more shy of the two kitties. I thought I'd share the above little slide show with you guys. I have many more pictures, so I'll be adding them to the slideshow when I get home (I'm at work now and don't have access to my photos).

I got Tagged

I was tagged again by a fellow blogger and friend of mine, Grammy Lura. And to think I thought the first tag was difficult. I always have a hard time trying to think of things about myself worth writing down (or typing, shall I say). So here it goes, six more interesting things about me. Well, I hope you find them interesting; I'll try to embellish a bit. :)
#1 I can only swim with one arm. The other one is always occupied ( I have to plug my nose, or else). I wish I didn't have to worry about water getting in my nose, but alas, I worry.
#2 As most of you know, I love animals. I've also had in my possession (pets and/or animals that needed temporary care) an array of different animals. My list includes dogs, kittens, hamsters, raccoons, an oppossum, a duck, a couple mourning doves, a pair of sugargliders, a turtle, a ferret, and an aquarium full of fish. Maybe I'll add to my list one of these days, but I have a feeling I'll just stick with the two dogs I have. :)
#3 I have a large family. My grandmother had eleven kids, including my mother. I have over forty cousins, maybe more. I lost count several years ago, we just keep on multiplying. :)
#4 One of the things I loved the most about when I was in junior high was track and field. I just didn't like to run. I was more into the field part of track and field. I loved the discus! I placed second in the district at the end of the year track meet, and I really believe I would have done just as well in high school, but that loser high school coach only wanted someone who was good in both discus and shotput. I was not good in the shotput; he chose not to keep me on the team. I still hate that I didn't even get a chance to prove myself. I thought for sure I'd get another opportunity to win first place my freshman year, but it just didn't happen.
#5 I think watermelon is digusting. That's all I have to say about that.
#6 I truly hate public speaking. I mean, I hate it in a different way than most people do, it REALLY bothers me. Don't ever expect me to stand up in front of a crowd for anything, I just won't do it.

Now it is my turn to play. I've tagged you six and you're it:
Who will the lucky six be??? I'll tag Rachel, as I always do, Cindy, Jansport, Queen Amidala, Hillary Clinton (if she checks my page, even), and lastly Jacko (I think he'll have some interesting things to dish on). PS I love Kevin! What you need on your post is as follows in the rules below:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on the blog
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post
5. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
..
Now it is my turn to play. I've tagged you six and you're it:

Little Red Sonic Button

Yesterday I had the privilege of visiting with my sister, Holly, and the kiddos. We enjoyed the day by going to a local aquatic center for some serious swim-time in the sun, and then drove to a nearby Sonic for some yummy food. It was 1:40 when we pulled into Sonic, and for all you super Sonic-lovers, you know that Happy Hour (1/2 price slushes and drinks) doesn't start until 2:00pm. So, whatever did we do, you ask? We ordered our food first with plans to order our slushes at 2:00; we figured we'd be finished with our meals by two. Here's where the drama of the button unfolds. My sister pushes the little red button and places her order, she had to have to guy repeat a few things because the speaker was so lousy and you could barely understand a word he was saying. I pushed the same button to place my order. Along comes the food and they'd overcharged Holly and given her the wrong burger. So, she pushes that little red button to tell them their mistake. But rather than bringing out the receipt to show her the correction on her credit card, one of the girls just brings out some cash and hands it to her. "Wait a second, the cash back should have been more than this!" So, she's forced to push that little button again and explain that she should've have gotten more back. Eventually, they are able to fix their mistake after many a button-pushin', but wait, we still have to place our drink orders! AAAAHHHHHHHH I guess Holly could have pushed that little red button one more time, but the thought of it was too repulsive. We decided to pull out and park along the other side of Sonic; Holly and I switched seats so that I would be the one ordering (I even changed MY voice a little so that I didn't sound like Holly at all). When the time came for the arrival of our slushes, I had let my hair down while Holly had thrown a towel over her head in the passenger seat. I'm still laughing just thinking about it again. I don't think we fooled anyone. Darn that button!!!

The only camera I had on me was on my cell phone. Here's what I was sitting next to in the car. hee hee
"Do you think they'll recognize me???" Um yeah

SUCCESS was ours! Ah, and those drinks were quite refreshing. Luckily, our drink orders were correct; I think we would've had to repark again if they hadn't been.

4Dbaby

I just happened to come across these pictures today, and I thought they were just too darn cute not to post. Look at that little smile! My pregnant friend has been considering getting one of these 4D pictures/movies of her little one, and that's why we were looking at these. The website I found this picture on is http://www.4dbaby.com/. If you go into the samples section, you can see that the pictures look EXACTLY like the baby. It's so weird that you can actually see what you're baby looks like before it's born. Anyhoo, just thought I'd share.

Memories!

Here's a really fun tag that I got from my sister, Holly's, blog:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, if we’ve actually met in person or not, anything you remember about me!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Everyone reading this tag is tagged! Oh, and try not to comment on anything that is too embarassing or you will regret it. LOL I'm just keeding. Now let the games begin!!!

Five Weirdo Things About Myself!

Okay, so my friend Aimee tagged me. I think she like tagged me a week or so ago, and I just now read it. Whoops, my bad! Here goes:

#1 I'm allergic to cockroaches. Don't even ask how, but when I went to the allergist and they did their thang, cockroaches came up on my list, my very long list, of things I'm allergic to. So, from that point on, I stopped eating roaches. This still confuses me...

#2 I froze a goldfish once, and it survived! A long time ago, when I was in my "fish phase" of life, I bought a little goldfish one day. I'd heard that certain types of frogs and goldfish could survive being frozen and then thawed. So, I snuck the little critter into my parents freezer in the garage and froze it overnight. When it fully thawed out, it was swimming around like nothing had happened. It still amazes me! My aunt Cindy can attest to this. The little fishies we had in the pond out front were just fine after we had a couple of hard freezes a couple of winter's ago. ;)

#3 I once had a booger collection. I didn't hide it; as a matter of fact I was proud of my collection. As you walked into my bedroom, it was about three steps forward, and one step to the right, and whammo, my collection! And might I add, I had quite the variety. Sorry if this grosses you out. Oh, and let me add that I was very young when I did this, I was probably about 6 or 7 years old.

#4 I DETEST the sound that is made when someone is eating. This is definitely top on my list of pet peeves. It's seriously so yucky to me. Don't even get me starting on chips, especially Fritos. For some reason the combination of someone crunching down on a bag of Fritos mixed in with the aroma of it, makes me want to puke. Luckily, if I'm eating, I can't hear the other person eating beside me. Background noise is also helpful.

#5 I love pulling pranks on people. It brings me such joy! These days, it's my co-workers that get the brunt of it. I just do stupid things, like taking their chairs and moving them into the vault, unplugging everything at someones station, taping down the phone lever and then calling them, completely rearranging items on a desk, linking ALL of someone's paperclips together, and putting someone's stamp in a mold of jello (that one was an overnighter). My favorite so far has to be when I left a message for my co-worker(s) to call back a member who'd had a question regarding a payment that they had supposedly done on their account. I gave them the number to call, but the number was in fact to a funeral home. My unsuspecting co-workers were so very politely asking to speak with Myra Maines. Good times!

I'm going to tag Rachel, Melissa, and Cindy!

Cow Appreciation Day!

July 11th (on a Friday), is Chick-Fil-A's Cow Appreciation Day! To get your free combo meal, all you need to do is to dress up as a cow from "head to hoof". I don't think this is something I'd do solo, but since my co-workers are going to do it, I'm in. So grab the kiddos, give 'em some spots, paint their faces, shove 'em in your mini-vans, and head to Chick-Fil-A!!! C'mon, it'll be fun and there's nothing wrong with FREE food. lol You can go to their website for more details and costume ideas (also known as cow tipping). It's http://www.cowappreciationday.com/. Hey, shouldn't I be getting paid for this...

This is me just gettin' ready for the BIG day! Oooh, I can't wait to dress up like a cow! Okay, okay, not really. I'm not so sure how fun this is gonna be, but I guess anything is fun when you're with friends, right?!?
