Bratz, no mas

I'm so happy to announce that Mattel has won it's lawsuit against MGA! Yahoo!buzz reports: "Don't mess with Barbie
Let's get something straight — Barbie may look like a bombshell, but she's no pushover. Mattel, the makers of the iconic doll, recently won a prolonged legal battle with MGA, the manufacturers of Bratz. The outcome of the legal battle puts into question the future of the creepy-looking Bratz figures. A federal court ruled that MGA was to be banned from making and selling "the saucy Barbie alternative." Why? Apparently, the court found that the creator of Bratz came up with the idea while working for Mattel. Hence, the idea belongs to the house that Barbie built."
That's right MGA, we don't like your creepy little dolls anyway. They're terrible role models for young girls, all clad in skanky attire and crazy clown makeup. The name of the doll kinda says it all though, Bratz. Uh yeah, do you want your child to be a brat? I didn't think so...
Of course, I do believe that the dolls will be allowed to sell through this holiday season (I had read that on another site), but after the season is up, goodbye dolls!
Yay Mattel!!! Go Barbie!!! It does leave me with one question though, do you think Mattel continue to sell these dolls as their own? I sure hope not!

that is AWESOME news. everytime i walk by those stupid dolls in the toy section, i cringe! and i think-who in their right mind would actually buy this kind of a doll for their daughter? such great role models for our children...so glad to hear mattel won. however, it makes me wonder, will they come out with something similar in the future since the "idea" came from them? hope not.

I agree!!!! Sometimes I wonder about parents when I hear them saying they are buying their daughter one of these Creepy dolls. What are they thinking? Do they want one as a role model for their child? Like you said: Bratz- says it all!! "Good news"

Oh yay! I'm so glad! I HATE those Bratz dolls... I may not have daughters but I have a niece and two young sisters-in-law, and they're definitely not good role models for young society. Stick with the classics! Yay, Barbie!
