Here are the mushrooms I was so excited to make. I mean look at them, the mound of seasoned goodness, sprinkled with melted cheeses. Don't they just look scrumptiously to die for?!? MMmmm, good and super tasty??? Well, they're not! They were disgusting, blech!!! I took one bite and spit it right back out. I'm not much of a seafood person, and the taste of clam was overwhelming. You should have seen me chopping those little clam babies up. I almost gagged a few times, all in the name of cooking. I thought I'd at least get to enjoy the fruits of my labor. :( The ones at the Olive Garden are great, and they make them with clams as well. For some reason though, these were just too much. If you love clams, then this could be the recipe for you. Tonight was not my night; I'm bummed. Another cooking disaster! At least Arthur kind of likes them (he's probably lying to me). Did he just spit one in the toilet? I think he did. Hmph! Can dogs eat clams, I wonder???

i'm giggling. sorry but this is funny. you just don't have good luck with new recipes!
Ha ha poor thing... next time, i would use LESS clams and try putting them in a food processor to get a finer texture...because that's probably your problem with the clams is the chewy, rubberiness. Im so sorry!!! I did happen to try TWO new recipes last night though... tamale pie and homemade spanish rice...and they were fantastic. ;) Love ya
They look very pretty and seems like they would taste good. Maybe the brand of clams? Marie would probably know for sure. As for feeding the dog clam, I probably wouldn't we did something similar on Guam and the dog lost all his hair, but we fed him octupus. So that could be the reason. Sorry if that grossed you out.
Ahhh...I'm sorry, they sure do look good.
I like clam chowder and fried clams... I wonder if I would like them??? I bet I would, I like most everything... you can tell from looking at me that I am not picky about food.
Sorry you were disappointed with your results.
Poor dog! Note to self: Don't feed dog octopus. Check!
We ended up throwing them down the garbage disposal afterall. Then, down went the lemons to cleanse the after stink.
This brings to mind my own disastrous new recipe story. I'll write a blog-post about it soon.
I feel your pain - when I try new recipes I only have a 20% success rate. At least they looked tasty!
Tara, you are so comical. Sorry they didn't turn out, but they sure look tasty... :)
Sorry they didn't turn out. It is always a bummer when a new recipe doen't work out.
You should have just posted the pictures and said "look what I made!!" They LOOK delicious, no one would have ever been the wiser..... :-)
