Introducing the Twilight Blog

Thanks to Cindy, we now have our very own Twilight blogpage. You can view it at: twilight-to-breakingdawn.blogspot.com. For all you die-hard fans, you won't be disappointed. Everyone is already doing their best in making this blog everything it can be. :) If you haven't read these books, you must. They're so good; I'm finding myself dreaming of Edward these days. Yes, corny, I know. I can't help myself. I've never been into reading so much, but these books I couldn't put down. The author, Stephenie Meyer, truly did an amazing job writing these. I also recommend her other book, The Host, though it may take a hundred pages or so to start to get into the whole storyline. But it does get better, and I really loved that book as well. Well, what are you still reading this for. Hop on over to our Twilight page already. Go on now, git!

I am obsessed with Edward as well and I am a happily married woman! Lucky for me my husband thinks it's funny! I called Cindy last night because I was going through withdrawls, literally did not know what to do with myself with no Edward and Bella!

What a fun blog idea. I am just starting the 3rd book.

Also, if you like vampire stories try Amanda Ashley's series... Nights Kiss, Night's touch and Night's Master..... They are shorter than Meyer's books.... about 365 pages and mucher faster paced.... I think you will like them.

Mandy is my visiting teacher so I am a bit biased. She has published about 54 romance novels. She is on the New York Times best seller list. She writes westerns also. Try her out.

Cindy did post something from Stephenie Meyer yesterday, there may be a bit of a spoiler in there (there is a warning). I haven't read it yet, so I don't know what's in it. So just don't read it and you'll be fine looking at everything else. :)

Love what you did. Found some great tattoos to wear to the movie with friends at www.mixitandstixit.com. I bought some I Love Edward and some Bite Me, Edward temp tats. they had vampire bitemarks too. Pretty fun. just thought you might want to know.

Ok, yell at me all you want, but you twilight lovers have nothing to say against me when I say that Twilight the series is pure, utter, Fan-fiction.

Give and take the first one was decent, the others led it down a slope to its demise.

Go ahead, flame me.

Tara D. said...

lol, I'm not going to "flame you". People have different opinions as to what they consider crap, decent, or great novels. It's cool! I'm sure I wouldn't like the things you read, though.

Okay, let me just say to whoever is leaving me comments here about Twilight. First of all, you read my reply completely the wrong way. I never said what you read was in no way better or even bad for that matter. I just said clearly we have different tastes. You know, like some people like vanilla some chocolate. Doesn't mean that because I like chocolate that I think vanilla is bad. I just don't prefer it. Do you understand where I'm coming from now? Sheesh And do NOT use that kind of language on my blog, this blog is set up for friends and family (I don't think your name is listed on my blog, dear). If you wish to comment, sure go ahead, but it needs to be appropriate. If you want to rant and rave and use inappropriate language, do it on your myspace page, or any page that belongs to YOU. This page is mine, and I work hard to keep clean and accessible to everyone and anyone who wishes. I wasn't offended in the slightest with your original comment, as I like other's opinions, I'm just sorry you read it the wrong way. I don't think there's much else I can say.

Back when they were saved for the elite few, back when hordes of overweight, stinky nerds who lived in their mothers basement would wait 8 days in line to purchase a ticket to a movie that they had been waiting an entire lifetime to see. Back when the news would film a line of people standing in the freezing rain dressed up like Jedis and all the people at home thought "these guys are losers" Now once again a sacred tradition of "my" people has been changed to the point it is mundane and deplorable. Now hundreds of teeny bopper girls get spots on television because a soap opera about vampires was turned into a movie. I for one am disgusted. I dealt with the Lord of The Rings kids, I tolerated the Harry Potter freaks, but I draw the line at Twilight fans. I don't know what I can do about it but I will try with every bone in my body to stop this atrocity. My fore fathers didn't spend the night in front of Springdale theater for days and days so you could see some high budget Hollywood funded crap that's closer to Dawsons Creek then anything Bram Stoker ever wrote. I didn't get into a fist fight in 9th grade, after no sleep from watching Episode 2 because some kid thought my lightsaber was nerdy so this tradition could be taken advantage of. I didn't spend countless hours and hundreds of dollars on a Jedi costume to watch Revenge of the Sith so you could enjoy your garbage of a movie in comfort. We fought hard for this and you don't deserve it.
***This comment has been edited for content but not deleted. I rather enjoyed reading this, thanks for fighting so hard for my right to watch movies at midnight Mr. 7Fingersphil. Without wonderful people like you, it wouldn't have been possible for me to enjoy my movie last night. Twilight was amazing! Thank you for your insight and opinions. And as always, I welcome all "clean" comments.

Ohhhh wooooow that is priceless!! Considering we're not teeny boppers, we're grown women. And it's not high budget. Watch the movie and find out for yourself. Don't diss it til you try it, Phil! Oh, and by the way... get a life. I have one, it's pretty nice. I don't go around hunting down Star Wars blogs to complain about their movies. In fact, I don't criticize anyone for their OPINION. Have a great day!

I just heard that Twilight will eventually be made in to a TV series and will air on Showtime. It would be awesome if Robert Pattinson could continue to play Edward, but I imagine that will cast a current TV actor. I know the perfect person. Drew Tyler Bell. He plays Thomas on The Bold and the Beautiful. He would be awesome as Edward. I'm so excited now. I'm currently just about done with the last book and was disappointed that it was coming to an end. I think it is so great that it will now be a TV series...Yea!

Tara D. said...

Sorry Arlene, we haven't heard of any deals with Showtime to start a tv series. I know summit and showtime have made a deal regarding their movies, however, nothing about a TV series. Plus, I'm sure it would be difficult to turn it into a tv series anyhow. I can't imagine that being a good thing for Twilight either (what it could possibly be about). But at least we all have New Moon to look forward to. Yay!

Ohhhh the fact that I, being the nerd I am, and with barely any sleep, can write a tongue and cheek paragraph about twilight and star wars and get one person up in arms is the reason I wake up in the morning. It's called satire If, like in this scenario, it is done well all should enjoy it. I find myself laughing at star wars nerds quite frequently.
