When you can't buy, borrow!

So we've decided, NO MORE PETS! Hi, my name is Tara, and I'm addicted to animals. Ah, I just can't help myself. Little critters are just so dang cute! I recently signed up to work with North Texas Cat Rescue as a foster parent for little orphaned kittens. Basically I bottle feed them and love them until they're 8 weeks old and able to be adopted out. I've really been looking forward to it these past few weeks. And I finally get my little kittens this evening. I'd originally said I'd take 2, maybe 3 little ones, but I'm getting stuck with 4 little babies (3 weeks old). If they had been newborn, there's no way at all I would've been able to take them. I would've been feeding like every 2-3 hours, which means by the time I finished feeding the fourth, it would be time to feed all over again pretty much. Anyways, for all you non-animal lovers, this post is probably boring you. But, I'm excited about it, and couldn't wait to share the good news. I'll be posting pictures soon. :)

secondly, congrats on your new kitties! hows it going with them so far? hopefully purrrrfectly(what? it wasn't punny the second time?) :) hopefully it won't be hard to give them up when they get older.

It sounds alot like having a newborn baby! When Em was born she couldn't breastfeed b/c she was sick, so I would try to get her to breastfeed for 20 minutes, bottle-feed her which took about 1-1 1/2 hours (seriously!) and then pump breastmilk for 20 minutes. She had to be on a three hour feeding schedule (from the START of one feeding to the next) so by the time I was done, I'd start all over again, FUN. Anyway, the point of this very lengthy comment is you must really love those kittens, and I am very impressed by your dedication to care for animals!

It is because you have such a beautiful heart! You are such a loving person~ animals just flock to you! They can sense the sucker..er.. love you have for them. Seriously, cute batch of kittens you have there! Feeding round the clock like that is not fun. Jeremy & I did that TOO MANY TIMES when we worked at the vet clinic! Don't miss that part.

The first step is admitting your addiction! LUckily this one you can keep! Just don't get too attached - it's hard to give something up that you take care of and love!
