This past month I was asked to make three birthday cakes for friends and family. I just thought I would post pictures of them since I never did get around to doing that at the time I made them. Well, the sleepover cake I made last night. That's what made me think to post more pictures.
Here's a picture of the birthday cake I made for my friend and co-worker Charlotte, well part of the cake anyways. I was in the process of making it, as you can see. The yummy cheesecake filling was a hit! It did taste pretty good, if I do say so myself. :)
Flash on!
Flash off!
And this is the Elmo cake my sister asked that I make for Cali's birthday. I have to admit, I was really excited to be able to make the cake. I think it turned out pretty good, though I think I could've done better (my hand was getting tired near the end, lol).
And this sleepover cake is the cake I finished last night. My co-worker asked me this week if I'd be willing to make her daughter's birthday cake for her. After looking at all of her ideas she had, we found a cake that she LOVED. So, this is the final product! I took the idea she gave me, and changed up a few things that I didn't like about it. I have to admit, at first I didn't want to make this particular cake. The picture of it was ugly, so alterations were absolutely necessary. I'll post the original photo down below at the very bottom. And I was also able to find plenty other sleepover cakes as well that did look better and took a few ideas from them as well (the hairdos of the girls for instance). If you pay close attention, you can see they're laying on pillows (marshmallows :)).
Here's the original pic. Yuck! And this is another picture of that cake, now do you see why I hesitated in wanting to recreate this?

You did such a fabulous job on all of the cakes. If you lived closer, I would have asked you to make Catalina's first cake. I was in a rush to make it and it did not turn out right. The frosting was way too soft. You did a much better job with the slumber party cake than the original photo. That is just scary. Great job!
WOW! You are so talented! Seriously! That sleepover cake is hideous but you made it look like a million times better in your version! Wow you've got some talent girl!
Oh and the cream cheese filling sounds bomb!
