I didn't have time to take any good pictures of my butterfly yesterday morning. I was in too much of a hurry to get to work. Today I actually awoke to find a new butterfly in the habitat. Before I left for work, I had two more; now I'm waiting for just one more butterfly to emerge. This morning I sat in front of the mesh habitat and stared for a few minutes waiting for one to make its way out, but then I had to use the little girl's room. I was gone for no more than two minutes and when I came back, the little booger was out of his cocoon. Dang it! I wonder if I'll get to watch the last one. Probably not...
These were four of my little worms yesterday. For some reason, they wouldn't stop shaking for like an hour. Geez, calm down already!!!

Wow, that's really interesting how they shake like that. I guess all that work trying to get out makes them strong enough to survive. How long will you keep them after they hatch?
I have one more that I'm waiting on, he developed a little later than the others. After he finally "hatches", I may just keep them for a couple of days longer, then release them.
How neat....how interesting.... really cool.
Thanks for sharing.
Is there any animal you don't like?? You amaze me. I think you need to go back to school ~ you have a different calling in life...you know what it is, it's extremely obvious :-) You've got the gift girl, go for it!!
I think this is the COOLEST!! I love it, thanks for sharing. I will have to do this with the boys. You are the best animal caretaker!
