Oh my!!!

We had a couple of rounds of scary weather early this morning, full of roaring thunder and crazy lightning. I've never been one to really fear bad weather. As a matter of fact, I've always looked forward to days like these. On my way to work, the lightning was all over the place. It looked sometimes as though the lightning was striking right in front of me even. For the first time probably ever, I found lightning to be quite intimidating. Below are some pictures of a jeep that was struck by lightning this morning not too far from where I am- like within ten miles, I'll say. It makes you wonder. Wow!

Luckily the guy wasn't in his car when it was hit by a bolt of lightning. This happened in the Vought parking this morning.

Thanks for your comment on my blog! Isn't blogging so much fun? It's been so great to get to know people from all over- I love it!

Wow! I can't believe that jeep! What a bummer for that guy. I'm just like you, I love a big thunder storm... but from the comforts of my own home! That looks very intimidating! Scary!

Hi again Tara,
I was just talking to my daughter, Erin and she commented on how nice it is to meet you and Holly. I agree with her. Isn't nice to know that there are so many people who are basically just like us? To me blogging in a marvelous forum and support system.... and how I love getting comments from you sweet people.

Wow, that an amazing post you just made. That poor jeep owner probably came out of Marshall's and felt like he'd been hit by a bolt of lightening.....oh, wait a minute.....HE HAD! How scary. I've heard of lightening strikes but I've never actually seen one before. Thanks for the pictures.

Nasty. I once went out in the rain when there was a flash of lightning. I was told it was quite close to me, but I didn't feel or sense it at all. I guess I was more worried about the final exam I had the next day!

Geez Louise...that is so scary! I have never seen that before. I'm always like "yeah right, never gonna happen" Proof that I am dead wrong!

I can not believe that lightning was the cause of all that damage to that jeep! WOW!! I will so rethink storms now!

Yikes, that's pretty scary. I wish we would get a nice storm down here (of course without that kind of lightning). It has been awhile since we have gotten any rain. We could really use some- Our grass is dying.

Love,
MOM
