Happy Birthday Maya!

Today was my little Maya's first birthday. We celebrated the evening with ice cream for the humans and some canned dog food with Pup corn for the canines. They loved it, for the most part. Maya wasn't too sure about those cheese flavored pup corn pieces. :) After they ate, Maya "opened" her present and was delighted to have new toys. She's still running around with them as I'm typing this. So cute! A fellow blogger had asked once if she was crazy for "throwing a party" for her pups. Of course not!!! I think of my dogs as my children, and they deserve the best, even if they don't understand what's going on. It's the thought that matters, and I hope Maya enjoyed her special day. I know I won't be enjoying the aftermath of it all- it's gonna be like sleeping with a couple of stink-bombs tonight. Just lovely! I can't wait...

i just noticed this post, how did i miss it? oh well.

so many of those pics cracked me up. the one of maya with her head looking up was so cute, like she was so excited it was her birthday:) but what made me laugh was the one where you wrote that chloe wolfed down her treats. i laughed because i thought to myself, "of course she did. she'll wolf down her own doodie" i think its so cute you have birthday parties for them. i totally will when we have a dog. heck, i may have one for our fish. but he'll have to just stare through the glass and watch us eat cake.
